ABOUT
Doghouse is a quarterly print magazine about the British pub and the culture within… created by writer Jon Saxon, with photography from Gavin Weston and Richard Stanton.
Edition 1 started with Shropshire's Ludlow and a 10-mile radius of pubs... the second edition picked up from where the first was left, and carried on in a 20-mile radius. Each edition therefore links into a previous radius – which has so far allowed Doghouse to take in aspects of Shropshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Powys, Gloucestershire, The Black Country and Birmingham.
The objective is to cover as much of the country, and its pubs, as humanly possible.
Each edition celebrates the traditional pub, alongside a varied collection of articles – intertwining a mix of subjects; such as music, ghosts, famous battles, random facts, net curtains, football and fishing. Doghouse also promotes the drink and the pub as a community's core.
Doghouse is named after Editor Jon’s earliest memory of a pub: The Doghouse Inn of St Michaels, Tenbury Wells, which was sadly converted into a house in the late 1980s.

All the best, Jon Saxon, Editor
